The Love Triangle

Girls Rule!!...who needs boys anyway?

Chloe he is MINE!

No, she didn't...now I'm going to have to kick some butt

Now let me makes this perfectly clear to everyone, Bei is MY boyfriend.

I know how I can get his attention...

Sara: Hey! Who is making all that racket down there??

As I looked through the pictures I realized that there was another story that developed later on in the weekend between Sara, Chloe and Bei. I thought I would share these sequential pictures once again. Honestly, I'm joking about Sara's possessiveness. She is really a sweetheart, but she is crazy about her Bei Bei!

Lily

Chloe
I wanted to share with you these pictures of Lily and Choe since I have focused so much on Bei and Sara. These two pictures capture the essence of each of these children.
Lily is very sweet and docile, and she wore a smile on her face almost 100% of the time. Lily is the one that also had open heart surgery and was in really rough shape coming from China. Out of all the children, she has probably come the farthest from a physical, emotional and mental standpoint. She is a blessing to her family, Pam and John just gush over her and you can see why, she is a beautiful little China dolly!
Chloe is a CLOWN and I meant to capitalize that word. She is a character from the word go. The picture above was taken at the Brookfield zoo while we were going through the Dinosaur Exhibit. The dinasaurs are replica's and are 20 feet tall and growl and have moving parts. Without any prompting Chloe would go up to each one and make a scary/funny face at them to scare them away. She is a stitch, I would just look at her and laugh. And that girl can swim like an olympian, she is just amazing! As Beth was chasing Chloe, Jen and I just kept saying "yep, we each got the right kids". Chloe has two brothers and one teenage sister, so they all help to manage her abundance of energy! What a great kid!
They are all such blessings and we feel very fortunate to parent them. Additionally, we have all touched one anothers life and feel lucky to have met such a wonderful extended adoption family.

Suzhou Love Story

Bei and Sara: I love you!

Sara: Now, let me take a good look at you!

Sara: Oh, that darn hair of yours...

Bei: Yes, I know now for sure...

Bei: I think I'm in love...

Sara: That one hair is out of place...

Sara: Be careful...

I finally found my camera and these are sequential pictures from our Chinese Reunion, that I took when Bei first met Sarah (Doe Doe). It was amazing to me how much she touched him. It was almost like she wanted to know he was really there. She watched over him constantly during the weekend and kept him in line. He tried to brush his teeth one night, however he didn't okay it with the "boss lady" and she had him in a headlock in no time. Bei pretty much takes her bossiness in stride. She is definitely HIS protector. If he ends up marry her, there is no question that he is going to be hen-pecked. I told Jen, if Sara was still in the orphanage she would be the director of the orphanage by age 10. But, in reality, she only bossed Bei around. The interesting thing about Sara is that she and Bei are very similar in their dispositions. Very quiet and stoic to people they don't know. They obviously feel a connection to one another and Jen and I wonder if they were crib mates or possibly in the same foster home.

I'm Lost...

A picture of Bei and his cousin Blake...minutes before an electrical fire on the boat. Everyone got off safely!
I might be over doing the "atta-boy" confidence building thing with Bei, because recently when I have been carrying him, he will look at me and say "Good job walking mom". Well thanks Bei. I want to say to him, "and You kid, are doing a terrific job breathing". I mean who says good job walking? It strikes me as funny.
Well I have to say that I am totally lost without my Camera. It is even hard to blog since I don't have any pictures to show. I'm so disappointed because Bei and I went to my sisters on Wednesday to help her prepare for her daughters HS graduation party and of course, I don't have any pictures! Ugh! We had a super time! First of all, Bei and I spent 3 hours on the lawn mower together in which he slept for at least an hour on my lap. We had shoved cotton in his ears. He loved the mower! By the way, I only mowed about 25% of the lawn in the 3 hours. My sister was on a tractor mowing the rest. That is way too much lawn for me.
There were alot pictures that I would have loved to have taken of Bei swimming in the pool with his cousins. Going down the slide into the water. Everyone played softball and volleyball, but you are just going to have to take my word for it because there are no pictures. Perhaps, by the next time I blog I will have a camera.
